This article introduces the potential environmental pollution caused by material leakage,fire and explosion in the operation of pressure vessel,discusses the reasons for accidents of pressure vessel,and advances some preventive measures from aspects of safety technology,staff education,equipment management and emergency plan. Also it explains the concept that safety technology is the premise and basis of the normal operation of pressure vessel,staff education is the key for the normal operation of pressure vessel,equipment management guarantees the normal operation of pressure vessel,and emergency plan mitigates the loss in environmental pollution accidents of pressure vessel.
