应用双边市场理论将产业中技术标准作为平台,对比分析了商业专用型标准与开放型标准下,企业分别在不同市场的竞争均衡以及兼容性选择.研究表明,当两种技术不兼容时,商业专用型技术标准下的企业内部化市场间交叉网络外部性,提供价格更低,市场份额和获得利润更大;兼容时,产业整体利润上升,对社会整体福利有益.

The competition and compatibility of technology standards, proprietary vs. open, were analyzed under the framework of two-sided markets. When the two standards are incompatible, the firm owning proprietary standards can achieve lower prices, larger markets share and more profit. However, when they are compatible, the profit of the total industry and the social welfare will be improved.
