A Study on the Rhyming in the Poetry by Gao Shi

唐代边塞诗经历了由初唐四杰时代的长篇边塞诗,到盛唐初期三王开元时代的短篇乐府边塞诗,再到盛唐中后期高岑的七言歌行式的长篇边塞诗的转型。高适的歌行边塞诗,正是这种转型的关键。高适现存古体诗148首中,多用七言古诗,用韵较宽,多用古风歌行,一首诗中常出现换韵,换韵方式多种多样,换韵的第一句大多押韵,邻韵之间同用的情况较多。

Frontier Poetry in the Tang Dynasty went through the transformation from long frontier poetry to the short official conservatory frontier poetry, and then to the seven-word chanting frontier poetry. Gao Shi＇s ancient frontier poetry is the important works in the transformation. Most of the 148 existing ancient verses by Gao Shi adopt the form of seven-word poetry. The change of rhyme is frequent and the way of changing rhyme varies considerably.
