Ecological Value:Idealism or Realism——A Comment on Eco-socialism

"生态社会主义"是伴随着全球性生态运动的兴起而产生的一种社会主义思潮,这一思潮从探究人与自然的生态关系出发,以生态效益为核心价值,致力于解决人类所面临的严重生态环境问题,勾画出了人类走向理想社会的价值图景,这一图景一方面对于我们认识和解决全球化视角下中国的生态环境问题具有重要的启发和借鉴意义;另一方面,由于这一思潮的理论家受所处社会历史背景的局限和自身理论的不足,其价值理想最终陷入了"乌托邦社会主义"的困境。

Eco-socialism is a socialism trend of the academia with the＇rise of global ecological activities. The theories of eco-socialism are based on the relations between man and nature and take ecological returns as their nucleus values. It is committed to address the serious environmental problems which mankind is facing. On this basis, Eco-socialism lay out a value scenario of ideal society. The scenario will be enlighteningly significant to environmental problems which mankind is facing on the one hand; on the other hand, the ideal value may run into a Security dilemma of socialist utopia, for its social context.
