生化网络动态变化的可视化系统

摘要 目前,生化网络体系的定量研究越来越重要,观察生化网络的动力学模拟结果是对其进行定量研究的重要手段。本文实现了一个交互式的展示生化网络动态变化的可视化系统:Intuitive View(IV,网址:http://mdl.ipc.pku.edu.cn/~ywang/ iv/)。该系统是基于Flash Action Script制作的软件,它通过几何图形大小和颜色的动画来呈现生化网络模型中化学物质和反应流随时间的变化,能够直观地显示用传统二维作图方法不易观察到的网络的特征,帮助发现有用的信息,从而为生化网络模型的定量研究提供了一种新的途径。IV可以免费用于学术研究。 Recently, quantitative study on biochemical network becomes more and more important. Visually investigating the biochemical network dynamics simulation results is an important way to study it quantitatively. This paper presents an interactive visualization system of biochemical network dynamics:Intuitive View (IV, URL:http://mdl. ipc. pku. edu. cn/-ywang/iv/). IV is developed using Flash Action Script. It animates the size and color of graphical elements to visualize temporal variations of biochemical species and reaction fluxes, intuitively demonstrates features that can not be captured easily by traditional two dimensional graphs, and help discover useful information, therefore serves as a new approach to facilitate quantitative investigation on biochemical network models. IV is free of charge for academic users.
