The Inherent Nature and Modem Succession of the Spirit of the May Fourth Movement

"五四"精神由两个层面的内容构成。第一层面是"五四"精神的内在本质,主要由"五四"精神的核心点与精髓构成;第二层面是"五四"精神的外在表现形式,主要包括不怕困难顽强斗争的精神、改革创新的精神、与为民精神等。在全面落实科学发展观、构建社会主义和谐社会的新的历史时期,应结合时代的变化,从"五四"精神的上述两个方面入手,切实发扬传承好这份宝贵的精神遗产。

The spirit of the May Fourth Movement is composed by two different contents. The first level is the inherent nature of the spirit of ＂ the May 4th Movement＂ , which is mainly constituted by its core point and its the essence. The second level is its external manifestations which includes the spitit of facing and fighting against difficulties, the spirit of reform and innovation, the spirit of for the masses heart and soul and so on. At full implementation of scientific development concept, the construction of a harmonious socialist society of the new historical period should be combined with the time change, and earnestly carry forward and promote this precious spiritual legacy. from the two aspects of spirit of ＂the May Fourth Movement＂ mentioned above.
