讨论小波变换在图象边缘检测、分类与描述中的作用．根据医学图象的特点，采用二进小波变换，成功地进行了边缘的检测与分类．实验表明，该法具有计算复杂度低，速度快等优点．

In this paper we discuss the application of wavelet transform to edge detection,classification and description.Then we use dyadic wavelet transform on medical images edge detection and classification.Experimental results show that this method is simple and fast.
