This article deals with the role of hypovolemic shock in the development of infectious bursal disease(IBD)by making the dynamic observation of shock related clinical signs in IBD and studying the effects of fluid infusion on chickens with IBD.The results showed that there were the evident shock related clinical signs in chickens with IBD and fluid infusion therapy could partially block the shock related clinical signs and death of chickens with IBD.This study indicates that hypovolemic shock plays an important role in the development of IBD and constitutes a main cause of death of chickens with IBD.
