Being Brave to Seek Truth in Complex History Situation——On the Process of Hu Sheng's Appraisal of Hu Shi

胡绳一生对胡适做了很多评价,这些评价呈现出阶段性的特征。本文将胡绳的评价分了三个时期,并对其阶段性评价的特征做了一定的分析。胡绳对胡适的评价经历了从早期的仰慕理解、以朋相待到彻底决裂、否定批判再到自我否定、历史重估,呈现了一个肯定——否定——否定之否定的过程。在这些阶段性的评价中胡绳对于胡适的评价既有独特的见解,也有对时局的解读,更有时代的印记。尽管这些评价逐渐走向了客观、全面、科学,但是中间的曲折是中国共产党人走过的艰辛历程,这有助于澄清一些历史真相,对以后的实践也有借鉴意义。

Hu Sheng＇ s appraisals of Hu Shi in his whole life showed stage features. In this article the author divides these appraisals into three periods, and tries to analyze their periodic stage features. The appraisals showed the process of sure - negation - negation of negation, from the early understanding and treating each other as friends to a complete break and from negative criticism to self-denial and historical re-evaluation. In these periodic appraisals, there were not only Hu Sheng＇ s unique insights and interpretation of the current situation, but also the print of the times. These appraisals which gradually become objective, comprehensive and scientific can help to clarify some historical truth and have referential significance for the future practice, although the Chinese communists went through the hard journey during this process.
