关于异化翻译的再思考

Rethinking of Foreignization in the Translation

针对国内部分学者倡导异化翻译的现状,本文从语言哲学角度出发,提出消解翻译理论中归化与异化之间的二元对立,面向语言本身和翻译问题本身的观点;强调在翻译实践中须要综观各种要素,视具体情形动态地选择翻译策略。最后,文章提出翻译理论"工具说",即把各种中外译论比作功能不同的工具,依据其适用性进行选择,只有适合特定语境、使用得当的翻译方法才是最好的"工具"。

As some domestic scholars advocate foreignization in the translation, this paper analyses and deconstructs the contradictory between foreignization and domestication from the perspective of linguistic philosophy, and suggests pondering the language itself and the problems themselves in the translating process to achieve a top view over all the factors which would influence the final resuits of translation; consequently, translators are advised to select translation strategies dynamically according to the specific situation. The paper finally proposes Tool Theory of Translation, that is, translators should regard countless theories as tools with different functions and adopt the one（s） with practical use.
