我国城镇化处在加速时期,更应该重视城市化的可持续发展,在人口、土地、水资源之间达到合理配置。以可持续发展战略指导城市化实践,广义的城市化符合可持续发展。广义的城市化理解不仅仅是城市人口的比重问题,还包括基础设施、土地、就业方式、产业结构等方面的城市化问题。城市人口规模是确定城市规模的重要依据,传统的人口规模预测方法遇到了城市化可持续发展的挑战。要注重生态承载力和环境容量的约束,把城市人口规模建立在资源承载力基础上,实现区域"生态—经济—社会"三元复合系统的最佳耦合发展,使城市更加适合可持续发展的要求。

During the speeding up of urbanization, we must focus on the sustainable development, and balancing the assign between population, land and water resource. With the sustainable development strategy to guide the practice of urbanization, we must know broad urbanization is not only the weight of population, but also including the infrastructure, land, employment style, as well as industry structure. Population scale is the basis to assure the city scale, and traditional population scale forecast measure meets the challenge of the continuous development of urbanization. We must emphasize the restraint of environment carrying and bearing, and put the population scale on the basis of resources carrying, and make the best way of ＂environment-economy-society＂ with complex development, to suit the demand of sustainable development.
