Based on analyzing equality of resources or equality of capabilities, the article researches the dispute about equality between Ronald Dwokin and Amartya Sen and its response in the Western academic circles. At last, the article evaluates the above-mentioned issue. Equality of resources neglects the differences of the conversion ability of resources, and equality of capabilities takes notice of it. But both equality of capabilities and equality of resources are confronted with some predicaments.
