Abstract The potential China's economic growth in 1998 is over 8%,low inflation and high foreign currency reserves provide a good environment for economic growth,however,low investment growth is the main factor restricting the potential economic growth into play.Therefore,so long as we pay close attention to implement the decision of central authorities on expanding the domestic demand and as quickly as possible to bring the policy effect into full play,it is quite possible to realize the target of 8% economic growth in 1998.
