Rotary kiln type drier has been widely applied in potas- sium sulfate production in the process of water-sah system. It can reach desirable handling capacity if we select proper feeding plate, inlet and outlet temperatures, air volume and others. Continuous and steady operation can be ensured by optimized configuration of fur- nace, feeding and discharging devices, fan and dust catcher and other equipment. The drying and heating methods of potassium sulfate, process control, drier and supporting equipment are highlighted and the example of design of the drier cited in the paper.
