The Narrative "Divided Self":An Analysis of the Individual Subjectivity in the Childhood Section of Dubliners

在《都柏林》儿童篇中,叙述自我和体验自我的共存和张力揭示了个体主体的内在分裂结构。这种叙述式"分裂的自我"不仅栖居于社会的边缘地带,而且展示了童年所特有的理想主义。光明和黑暗、阳光和阴影的碰撞虽然导致了现代个体的内在分裂状态,却也造就了其流动、开放和丰满的主体形象。

In the childhood section of Dubliners, the coexistence of and tension between the narrative-self and the experien- cing-self determines the inner psychological structure of individual subject. This narrative ＂divided self＂ lingers on the mar- gins of society and beams out the special light of childhood idealism. The collision between light and dark, sunshine and shade does not only bring about the inner division, but also enriches the fluid, open and substantial image of modem subject.
