有关杜文秀对外关系的几个问题

1868年杜文秀开始与英法殖民主义者发生接触,他对这个问题的处理是完全正确的,态度严肃但决不粗暴,这一年进入云南的是德拉格来和安邺率领的"探险队",当他们到达大理时,杜文秀面斥法国神父,勒令安邺等人立刻离境,决不加以接见。而所谓"回教国"问题,来源竟是散发于西藏、四川等少数民族地区的一张阿拉伯文传单,与大理回民政权无涉。至于刘道衡使英,则完全是刘个人行为,甚至可以说是他个人的骗局,因为在对外关系上,杜文秀态度一向正确,直到最后大理被攻陷时,政治上也无妥协动摇的表现。

Du Wenxiu＇ s settlement of the case while contacting British- French colonists in 1868 was absolutely correct, and whose attitude was not rude although being very serious. It was recorded that in that year, the ＂exploration party＂ headed by Dela Grey and An Ye entered Yun＇ nan Province. And upon their arriving in the region of Dali, Du Wenxiu refused to meet with the party, and instead he reprimanded their arrival by ordering the party to leave immediately. Regarding the issue of ＂the Hui＇s state＂, it firstly stemmed from a leaflet circulating in minority nationality - inhabited region in Tibet and Sichuan, and it therefore has nothing to relate with the Hui＇ s administration power. As to the case of Liu Daoheng＇ s being sent as envoy to Britain, it is believed that was Liu＇ s personal behaviour, or rather, it was a faked story. In short, Du Wenxiu＇ s attitude toward foreign relations was always righteous, and whose attitude did not change at the time when Dali was captured.
