Piracy,as an age-old criminal activity,used to be an important force affecting world politics.Reports of pirate attacks were declining worldwide since the new century.However piracy has been quite rampant since 2007.Especially in the Somali waters, pirates have conducted savaging lootings in their increasingly frequent raids,causing immense harms rarely seen since World WarⅡ.Under such circumstances,it is imperative to review the issue of piracy,which is an ancient as well as a current problem for us.
