拜上帝教缘起于基督教,从表象来看,拜上帝教与基督教有一定关联,而事实上,二者之间却存在着本质的区别。从现实斗争形势的需要出发,拜上帝教的信仰特征呈现出明显的现实性和功利性趋势。这个趋势在一定程度上决定了拜上帝教作为农民战争工具的本质特点。

God -worship originates from Christianity. From the superficial phenomenon, God -worship is related to Christianity in a certain sense, however, an essential distinction exists in the two. From the needs of practical struggle situation, belief features of God-worship are showing the clear tendency of utilitarianism and realism. To a certain degree, the tendency determines the innate features of God-worship as a means in peasant war.
