Shay cannot understand or learn things as other children do. One day, he and his father walked past a park where some boys were playing baseball. The boys welcomed Shay to join the game. Even though no hits came his way, Shay was ecstatic[狂喜的] just to be on the field. In the bottom of the ninth inning[一局], Shay＇s team scored. Everyone knew that a hit was all but impossible because Shay didn＇t even know how to hold the bat properly.
