21st Century Outlook on Architecture and Architectural Education

此文针对“建筑与人口”、“建筑与建设用地”、“建筑教育与改革”三个方面的内容，从今天建筑发展及建筑教育的现实出发，提出了21世纪人口巨额增加需要建筑飞跃发展，21世纪建筑发展的重要趋向及21世纪建筑教育观。阐述了12点未来的建筑发展的趋向，和探求未来建筑人才培养及教学改革应注意的6点看法。

This paper, which was presented to the First National Conference of Architectural Department Chairpersons of the institutions of Higher Learning held in Changsha in October 1997, is based on the theme of the UIACongress Beding 1999 focusing on 'architecture and population', 'architecture and land for construction' and'architectural education and reform'. In view of the current state of architectural development and education,the paper highlights the need for rapid architectural development as a result of large population growth. TwelvePOints in regard to architectural development trends and six points in regard to architectural education and teaching reform are raised.
