高职新生英语学习焦虑的成因及对策

Exploring the Causes and Countermeasures against the Anxieties of Professional College Freshmen in Their English Learning

Krashen＇s Affective Filter Hypothesis has profoundly reflected the direct influence on all learners. Generally, professional college freshmen have higher anxiety in their English learning. The fundamental causes lie in their weak psychological qualities, and lack of learning methods and teaching methods as well. Therefore, educators should try to establish students＇ self--confidence and their sense of accomplishments by starting with psychological counseling service for them. Moreover, guidance in learning methods should also be strengthened so as to help the students overcome anxiety in their English learning and complete their studies.
