Jain Poet Hemacandra in Middle Ages of India

雪月是印度11至12世纪耆那教著名学者和诗人。但对中国读者很陌生。这是第一次向中国读者全面介绍他。雪月最重要的著作是他用中世纪的语言——阿波布朗舍语写的语法书《成就者雪月词法》。在这部书里,他讲解了梵语、俗语和阿波布朗舍语语法,并摘引了许多无名作者的双行诗。这些双行诗大多采自民间。他所摘引的双行诗具有很高的审美价值和民俗学价值。

Hemacandra was a great Jain poet, who lived from the llth century to the 12th century. Religious and literary background of the religion and Hemacandra＇ s life and works are introduced. His principal work is Sabdanushasana, a grammar book written in the Apabhramsha language. He explained the grammar of Samskrita, Prakrita and Apabhramsha, and quoted many folk poems of unknown writers in this book. Some of the poems are translated and their values of aesthetics and folklore are briefly appraised. This is the first paper giving an all - round introduction of the poet and his works to Chinese.
