This paper gives a review on the development of salting - out extraction, a new technique for separation and enrichment of precious metals. It briefly states the technique＇s principle and introduces its present situation in research and application for precious metals analysis in details. The relative liquid -liquid extraction systems and liquid -solid extraction system concerned with precious metals extraction are listed.
