Correctly Position the Relationship Between the People and Police to Promote Their Harmony

和谐的警民关系既是和谐社会的题中要义,又是公安机关履行职责的基础。加强和谐警民关系建设对于提升公安工作水平、促进社会和谐稳定具有十分深远的影响。新时期我国警民之间的关系,包含着契约关系、伙伴关系、亲人关系多重内涵,各级公安机关必须从这一定位出发,查找存在的问题,有针对性地加强和改进工作,努力构建和谐警民关系。

Harmonious relationship between the people and police is not only an element of harmonious society ,but also the basis for public security organs to perform their duties. Strengthening the construction of harmonious relationship between the people and police is of great importance for improving the working level of public security as well as promoting the stability of the society. The people-and-police relationship in our country in the new period includes contract relationship,partnership and relative relationship on which public security organs at various levels should based to find out the existing problems, strengthening and improve their work thus to construct harmonious people-and-police relationship.
