摘要
荀子的美学思想,建基于"能定能应,夫是之谓成人"的"成人之教"基础上。"成人"唤醒并关注个人与整个族类之间的互生游戏:一方面,美必然涉及每一个个人的情感,甚至是积淀着人类欲望的情感,成为养欲之具;另一方面,美感又领受了人之物种的类的规定性,因而能够超越个人的利欲本身。这样,荀子的审美思想,就是"感而自然"的"情欲"与夫"感而不能然"的"礼义"之间的冲撞与循环。它至少表明,现实利益对于人类精神活动具有某种本源性意义。
Hsun Tzu's aesthetic thoughts put emphasis upon two aspects : on the one hand beauty necessarily involves each individual's feelings, or even the desire of human being; on the other hand the aesthetic sense has right to transcend the limitations of self-identity and realize one' s unity with the human race. It is a close game of how to becoming a people.
