The standards for evaluating the thickness, corrosion resistance and appearance of decorative and protective chromium plating coatings on motorcycle parts in complicated shapes were described. The positions needed to be measured for luggage carrier, rim, muffle, fender and bumper in the evaluation of protection level were pointed out.
