The principles and controls of the drum water level control system composed of transmitter, regulator, control valve, actuators and the drum water level control system composed of the frequency converter were introduced, and the two control systems were compared. The results show that the drum water level control system composed of the frequency converter for small and medium- sized enterprises is better than that composed of transmitter, regulator, control valve, actuators.
