I wish the coming of the post-genome era, the study of ＂omics＂ has become a new hotspot in the field of life science. A great many of researchers of traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） applied the technology of genomics, proteomics and metabonomics in exploring the biological essences of syndromes of TCM. This article demonstrated the magnificent prospect of ＂omics＂ in the study of the TCM.
