In the view of markedness theory, ＂self-translator＂ is marked in the conceptual domain of the translator. Self-translation of literary works involves plenty creation, yet it is still translation. The self-translator may have different motives, strategies or methods, so he may serve as reference in consideration of the rights of the conventional translator.
