Half of the last century, mankind has suffered an unprecedented disaster, the two world wars and the rule of fascist barbarism. The people personally experienced the catastrophe had a profound self-examination of the root causes of the disaster and found solutions to avoid such a tragedy from happening again. Karl Polanyi is one of them. Through an analysis of Polanyi, his view of society as a whole that can make freedom and salvation of humanity that is deserved to be questioned.
