Translation is a transfer of language as well as that of culture and thinking patterns. The difference between Oriental and Occidental thinking patterns is responsible for different ways of expressing in English and Chinese. Therefore, for better effect, it will be crucial for translators to study this difference and its influence on language; to explore the laws of the correspondence between the thinking pattern and language pattern and to shift the perspective in translation.
