个体量词的产生及其历史演变过程探析——以量词“本”为例

A Brief Research to the Production and the Historical Evolution Process of the Individual Classifier——Take the Classifier "Ben" as an Example

量词"本"产生于两汉时期,最初用于称量草本植物,到魏晋南北朝时期,产生了新兴用法——称量书籍。之后至明清时期,"本"既可称量植物,又可称量书籍、戏曲。现代汉语中,"本"的称量植物义已基本消失,产生了新兴的用法——称量抽象事物。

The classifier ＂Ben＂ produced in Liang Han Danasties. At first, it＇ s used to measure herbs ; and gradually it extended a new usage——to measure books in Weijin Nanbeichao Danasties; in Ming Qing Danasties, ＂Ben＂ was used to measure herbs, but also to measure books and drama. In mordern Chinese, the meaning to measure herbs about ＂Ben＂ has disappeard, and produced a new usage——to measure the abstract things.
