摘要
台州远古为扬州之域,荒服之地;秦属闽中郡;汉初属东海王国,嗣后置回浦乡,属会稽郡鄞县,汉昭帝始元二年置回浦县,为台州设县之始;东汉章帝章和元年改名章安县。三国吴会稽王太平二年分会稽郡东部设临海郡,为台州设郡之始。晋明帝太宁元年分临海郡南部置永嘉郡。隋文帝开皇九年撤并为临海县,开皇十一年徙治今临海城关,从此临海成为台州政治中心。唐高祖武德四年置台州,以境内天台山而得名。1994年8月国务院批准台州撤地建市,行政中心移驻椒江。
The place of Taizhou was wild land and belonged to Yangzhou in the early Qin dynasty. the early Han, it belonged to Donghai kingdom, later it was in Huipu Village which was called Huipu the second year of Emperor Han Zhao, Yin County, Kuaiji Prefecture. The name was changed to When in County in Zhangan County in the year of Emperor Dong Han. In the second year of Dong Wu Tai Ping, the east part of Kuaiji Prefecture was set as Linhai County which was the beginning of Taizhou County, and it belonged to Yongjia prefecture in the period of Emperor Jinming. In Sui dynasty, the Linhai County was established and became the political centre of Taizhou eleven years after the build of Sui dynasty. The place was called Taizhou because of Tian Tai Mountain in the 4th year of Emperor Tang Gaozu. In August 1994, Taizhou was approved to be a city and the administrative centre was in Jiaojiang.
