摘要
南北朝时,"孃"字出现了"母亲"义,"娘"字出现了"年轻女子"义,这种分别一直延续至中晚唐前。中晚唐以后,"娘"字渐渐出现了"母亲"义,但"孃"字始终未曾出现"年轻女子"义,与"娘"字的用法区别甚严。无论从汉语史表义还是从原刻本存真这两个方面来看,今版繁体本《恒言录》中的两处8个"娘"字均属"孃"字之校误。
The characters 孃 and 娘 originally had different meanings. In the Northern and Southern dynasties, the character 孃 evolved the meaning of mother, the character 娘 evolved the meaning of young woman, and this difference was used till the middle - later Tang dynasties. Then, the character 娘 evolved the meaning of mother, but the character 孃 never evolved the meaning of young woman, this usage didn't confused with the meaning of the character 娘. Synthesizing the expressing meaning of the characters 孃 and 娘 and the preserving truth of the original edition, this essay deems that Hengyanlu of the present edition in the original complex form of a simplified Chinese character mistakes the eight characters 娘 for the Characters of 孃.
