从概念合成理论看隐喻翻译

On the Translation of Metaphor based on the Conceptual Blending Theory

隐喻在语言中的广泛使用让文学作品变得生动活泼、丰富多彩,但也给翻译带来了困难。奈达的功能对等只是一种理想状态,因为有相当多的隐喻在翻译过程中都只能做到部分对等或者根本不对等。一直以来,文化差异被认为是造成这种翻译困难的一个重要原因。利用概念合成理论,从认知角度分析构成隐喻的概念系统在语际转换过程中所发生的变化,从而解释文化因素在隐喻翻译过程中发生作用的语言机制。

The wide use of metaphors makes literary works attractive, but also brings great challenges to translation. Seldom do we have functional equivalent transcripts in the translation of metaphor. The cultur- al differences between source language and target language have been considered as the main reason. Based on the conceptual blending theory, this paper, from a cognitive perspective, analyzes the changes occur in the metaphorical concept system during the bilingual transition and aims to explore the linguistic mechanism by which cultural differences affect the translation of metaphor.
