The Effect of Buddhism's Prosperity on the Poems of Sui Dynasty

由于文帝、炀帝的提倡,隋代佛教兴盛一时,文人亦多沾染佛法,这影响了他们的文学创作,比如隋代诗歌中有不少作品以阐释佛理、抒写佛教感悟为表现内容。这些诗歌在写法上大多继承了南朝佛理诗的写作模式,在清幽的景物描写中寄托诗人的宗教情怀。

Due to the advocacy of Emperor Wen and Emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty, the Buddhism was popular at that time. The bulk of the literators of that time were affected by it too,which influenced their works. For example,many poems of Sui Dynasty explained the Buddhism and expressed the grasp of Buddhism. These poems mostly succeeded the writing mode of Buddhist poems in the Southern Dynasties,and the poets reposed their religious feelings in the description of quiet landscape.
