This paper first discusses the instructive effects holiday activities can have on the develop- ment of undergraduates and their major characteristics. Then, it gives an analysis of the status quo of the activities and points out the existing problems before offering some suggestions and countermeas- ures. Surveys show that stressing the educational value of those activities and improving their quality will be of great significance to the cultivation of students＇ creative and practical abilities and to their all -- around development.
