摘要
本文从多媒体通信的定义、特点、体系结构入手,对多媒体通信系统在远程教育中的应用进行了阐述。对多媒体技术在远程教育中应用的两种方案:基于视频会议系统的设计方案和基于网络的设计方案,做了比较详细的阐述。
Starting with the definition, architecture, and protocols of multimedia communication, this paper describes the application of multimedia communication system in remote education. There are two basic solutions for multimedia communication in remote educations： one is video conference solution,another is network based solution. This paper provides detail comparison of the two solutions above.
