中国古代女性曲家出于时代潮流和个人喜好选择了以曲为主要创作形式,而其曲作的思想主题、艺术手法与古代女诗人、女词人区别不大,都重在个人感情的抒发和对纤细精巧的艺术风格的追求。

Women qu writers in Ancient China chose to create qu instead of other verse forms due to the trend of their time and their personal interest. The themes and artistic techniques are not much different from women poets and ci writers at that time in that they all expressed their feelings and pursued some delicate artistic style.
