The primary condition for the normal operations of circulating oil system in large-sized modern paper machinery is that the inside of the system must be clean. In despite that the manufacturers of the lubrication components pay much attention to the inside cleaning of the components, there still are such contaminants as burrs, shavings, dusts and welding slags and contaminants may also be carried into the system in the assembly process of pipeline and pipe heads. Therefore measures must be adopted to filter out the contaminants otherwise there may be faults after the equipment being brought into service and some components such as pumps and motors may encounter fatal damage.
