摘要 Meat consumption in China can be generally divided into several phases: first phase is from 1950s to 1980s when there was few meat consumption with the focus on grain consumption, the national annual meat consumption per capita was about 10 kg; and even in 1978, the national annual meat consumption per capita was only 6 kg for farmers and 18 kg for urban residents.
