A Cultural Interpretation of Women's Images in Zhang Heng's Works

张衡是东汉著名文学家,创获颇多,女性形象的塑造即是其中之一。张衡作品中的女性形象,可分为有才情色而无礼法和情色与礼法兼具两类。前者是张衡对战国以来文学与文化的承袭,后者是张衡的新创,也是汉代世俗文化与经学理念融合的必然结果。

Zhang Heng was a famous writer of the East Han Dynasty. He created a series of women＇s images. These women＇s characters could be divided into two kinds： one was full of talent and feeling and good looks but lacked courtesy while the other was full of feeling and good looks and well - mannered. The former was carried on literature and culture of the Warring States and the latter was made innovations by Zhang Heng.
