中英文光盘版电子期刊的利用与比较分析

Analysis on Use and Comparison of Electronic Periodicals on CD-ROMs

本文着重论述了清华大学编辑出版的《中国学术期刊（光盘版）》全文电子期刊和美国ＵＭＩ公司出版发行的ＡｐｐｌｉｅｄＳｃｉｅｎｃｅ＆ＴｅｃｈｎｏｌｏｇｙＰｌｕｓ全文电子期刊的特点，从图书馆提供读者服务的角度出发，对两种电子期刊的学科覆盖、出版时差、信息量、检索途径、浏览内容、下载过程、用户界面等方面进行了评价，并提出了进一步完善的建议。

The paper gives analysis and comparison of typical Chinese and English electronically published periodicals on CD-ROMs in conjunction with the two year experience in providing Chinese and English electronic periodicals reading service to the users in the Multifunctional Electronic Reading Room of Tsinghua University Library.Emphasis is put on the features of the full text electronic periodicalsChinese Academic Journals CD-ROM compiled and published by Tsinghua University and Applied Science & Technology Plus by UMI in the United States.From the point of view of providing service by the library to the users,an overall review is presented for both of the publications in the respects of their subject area covering,timeliness,information quantity,access points,browsing contents,downloading,and user interfaces.Some suggestions are put forward,too.
