Classification plays a very important role in the traditional document organization and manual retrieval. Under the networking environment, the advantages of classification is getting evident and its importance is recognized by experts. They are applied in online browsing; organization of nontext information; management of hypertext and as a common information organization language, which will promote the integration of classification and thesaurus systems.
