Starting with the definition of citation analysis,this article analyzes its characteristics and prerequisites,and then demonstrates and analyzes its limitations one by oneFinally,it comes to the conclusion that citation analysis remains valid as a bibliometric method,but needs to be used carefully and coordinated with other methods when necessary
