时下闽台地区民间信仰颇为兴盛,闽台与中原民间信仰互动频繁。闽台民间供奉的神祇中,观音、关帝、土地公等传统民间信仰是从中原经过光州固始中转传播过去的。"开漳圣王"、"开闽圣王"等本身就是"光州固始"移民。郑成功、施琅等是"光州固始"移民后裔。原产福建的众多神祇与"光州固始"移民也有着千丝万缕的渊源关系。进一步加强固始与闽台民间信仰互动对固始经济、文化、社会发展都有一定积极作用。
