Thoughts on Translator’s View on Translation in Terms of Translating Chinese Classics into English

Translation competence is not only closely related to translators＇ bilingual proficiency and translation techniques, but also to their view on translation per se. This is especially true in the strategic inter-cultural communication activities like translating Chinese Classics into English. Only a perfect fusion and dynamic interaction between the cultural awareness, textual awareness and cognition, can a good translator be made and the purpose of introducing Chinese Classics into English be achieved.
