诺贝尔奖更青睐发现式成果,更欣赏最基础理论。世界一流大学无不特别关注这一类研究。MIT的变化是一个典型的例子。中国若要成功建成世界一流大学,大大提高自己的理论兴趣、哲学兴趣是当务之急。急功近利、浮躁心理以及过分关注眼前的课题对建设世界一流大学是不利的。

The Nobel Prize attaches great importance to original discovery and basic theoretical research.The same is true of those world class universities.A case in point here is MIT,who has transformed itself from a technological institution to a comprehensive university.To build world class univerisities,China should give top priority to theoretical and philosophical studies.Impatience,superficiality and shortsightedness will certainly affect our building of world class univeristies adversely.
