摘要
本文介绍了一种通过CAD分析方法提高行波管性能的实例,用计算机模拟仿真行波管慢波结构的冷特性参数,利用MAFIA软件的准周期边界条件模拟计算行波管慢波系统的色散和耦合阻抗。通过改变不同结构参数的模型分析,最终得到一种最优化的尺寸模型,并结合实际制管验证比较,提高了行波管的性能,缩短了改进周期。
The performance of the traveling wave tube (TWT) has been successfully improved through simulation of cold characteristics with commercial software package, MAFIA. The simulation included the dispersion and coupling characteristics of a helical slow-wave structure (HSWS) with a quasi-periodic boundary condition. The combination of the optimized structure, obtained by trying a variety of different models with modified dimensions, and the TWT fabrication experiments resulted in the performance improvement of the TWT. The results show that the simulation of varied parameters with a computer aided design (CAD) model considerably improves the performance of the TWT.
