Foreign Strategies of the Five Central Asian Countries and the Geopolitical Cause

苏联解体提升了中亚作为国际地缘政治中心的地位。在新的国际格局与地区形势下,具有很大相似性的中亚五国选择了四种不同的对外战略:"中立"、"联盟"、"均势"和"平衡"。不同的战略选择反映了一个共同的战略动因,即地缘政治。地缘政治与各自现实条件的结合导致了五国在理性选择下的不同战略形成,以及在不同战略之下的外交优先方向。

The disintegration of the Soviet Union turned Central Asia into a global geopolitical center.Under the new international structure and regional situation,the five Central Asian countries,which share much homogeneity among themselves,chose different foreign strategies: Neutrality,Alliance,Balance of Power,or Balance Strategy.Different options of strategies reflect a common strategic impetus: geopolitics.The combination of geopolitics with their respective realities contributes to the formation of different strategies under the rational choice,as well as priorities in their respective diplomacy under their own strategies.
